All three depart from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and all three are run or licensed by official operators, not random shuttle companies. The right pick depends on your bags, your destination neighborhood, and how much you value certainty over price.

The AREX express train (공항철도 직통열차) runs nonstop from Incheon Airport straight to Seoul Station, with no intermediate stops. It's the fastest way to get downtown without a car, and seating is unreserved but rarely full outside peak arrival banks.

AREX All-Stop: Cheapest, More Patience Required

The all-stop train (일반열차, sometimes called the "commuter" AREX) runs on the same line but stops at every station along the way — Gimpo Airport, Hongik University, Digital Media City, and others — before reaching Seoul Station. You pay with a T-money card or a single-journey ticket, and the fare is distance-based like a normal subway ride.

• Fare: roughly ₩4,000–5,000 one-way from T1 to Seoul Station (less if you get off earlier, e.g., Hongik University for Hongdae)
• Time: around 60–70 minutes from T1, a bit longer from T2
• Good for: budget travelers, anyone already staying near Hongik University (Hongdae) or Digital Media City, and anyone comfortable navigating subway-style platforms with luggage

Limousine Bus: Best for Luggage and Hotel Drop-Off

Airport limousine buses (공항버스) are large coaches that run fixed routes from both terminals to major neighborhoods — Myeongdong, Gangnam, Hongdae, Jamsil, and dozens of others — with numbered routes (6001, 6015, 6002, and similar) posted at clearly marked bus bays outside arrivals. There's also a premium/deluxe tier (sometimes marketed as KAL Limousine) with roomier seats and fewer stops.

• Fare: standard routes roughly ₩10,000–11,000; premium/deluxe routes roughly ₩16,000–18,000 — check the posted fare boards at the bus bay, as routes and prices vary by destination
• Time: highly traffic-dependent, often 60–100+ minutes, longer during rush hour or holiday travel surges
• Good for: groups, heavy luggage, late arrivals, and hotels that aren't an easy walk from a subway exit

The bus stores large suitcases underneath and guarantees you a seat, which matters after a long flight.
